Beef stroganoff

A classic dish with simple ingredients, that's easy to prepare and tastes incredible.

  • Onion 1
  • Garlic 2 cloves
  • Rump steak 650g
  • Beef stock 125ml
  • Mushroom 6 large
  • Salt and pepper To season
  • Double cream 125ml
  • Rice 450g
  • Paprika 1 Tsp
  • Garlic powder 1/2 Tsp


  1. Cook the rice as directed on the instructions.
  2. Finely chop the onion and garlic.
  3. Chop the mushrooms.
  4. Cut the beef into small strips.
  5. Fry the onion and garlic in a pan with olive oil.
  6. Add the beef and cook to desired tenderness.
  7. Add the mushrooms and garlic powder.
  8. Season with salt and black pepper.
  9. Add the paprika.
  10. Make a beef broth using beef stock or gravy granules and boiling water.
  11. Add equal measures of the beef stock and double cream to the beef and stir in.
  12. Add more paprika to season (if required).
  13. Simmer for one minute and serve with the rice.
